Alfonso J. Sebia, Sr., 68, of Kelayres and formerly of Lehighton, passed away Friday at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of Creda (Eramo) Sebia, of Kelayres and the late Neil Sebia.
Al was a member of Christ Evangelical Free Church of Lehighton, where he was actively involved with church activities.
Prior to retiring, he was a proprietor of several businesses.
Al was a volunteer for Care Net and for several food pantries. He enjoyed volunteering to help feed the homeless during the holidays. Al was an avid Green Bay Packers and New York Yankees fan.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his children, Angela Haskins and husband Tom of West Penn Twp.; Alfonso J. Sebia, Jr. and wife Amber of Weatherly; Michael Grablick and wife Jessica of Maryland; Adam Sebia of Tennessee; Erin Sebia of Hazleton; and Rachel Sebia and husband Joshua Hill of Jim Thorpe; his pride and joy, his grandchildren, Kasey, Dylan, Tyler, Allison, Julia, Maria, Matthew, David, Christopher, Madison, Adalyn, Riley and Evelyn; and great-grandson Christopher.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday at 6 pm at Christ Evangelical Free Church, Lehighton. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 6 pm. in the church.
A private committal service will be held in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, McAdoo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Evangelical Free Church, 2420 Blakeslee Boulevard West, Lehighton, PA 18235.
