Albert G Barnhart, 64, of McAdoo, passed away Thursday, March 5, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of Robert and Agnes (Morott) Barnhart, and a graduate of Hazleton High School, class of 1979.
Prior to retiring in 2000, Albert was a dedicated police Sergeant with the Hazleton City Police Dept. He was a member of the FOP Lodge 18, where he served as a past treasurer. He was also a member of the former Keystone Fire Co. and the McAdoo Fire Co & Ambulance Assoc.
Albert took great pride in caring for and training his loyal German Shepherds and Yorkies, who brought him much joy over the years.
Surviving are his devoted wife of 39 years, Michele (Harpenovich) Barnhart; sister, Roberta Kramer and husband, John, of Tennessee; nephews, Kyle and Chris Kramer; and beloved dogs, Kera and Miss Molly.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
