Agnes Notaro Obituary

Agnes J. Notaro, 85, of Kelayres, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in West Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Helen (Arendash) Martineck.

She was a member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo.

Agnes enjoyed caring for her family. She loved cooking, baking, and sharing it all with others. She also enjoyed decorating for every season and spending her time solving crossword puzzles.

Agnes was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and she will be sadly missed by all.

Preceding her in death, were her brothers, Edward, Thomas, and Bernard Martineck; and sisters, Margaret McDermott and Helen Yacina.

Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Peter M. Notaro; son Michael Notaro and wife Mary Beth, of Kelayres; daughters Tami Drob and husband Willie, of McAdoo; Jackie Steber and husband Joe, of Drums; and Sue Greshko and husband Brian, of West Hazleton; grandchildren, Scott Drob and significant other April Grocki, Danny Merrick and wife Sherilyn, Justin Merrick and wife Jordan, Christy Panzarella and husband Tony, Megan McGowan and husband Matt, Michael Notaro and wife Kristina; and Noah Blew; great-grandchildren, Sofia, Isabelle, Mira, Lilah, Quinn, Marlowe, Isla and Luke; and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Friday. The Rev. Msgr. William Baker and the Rev. Eugene Ritz will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial in Church of All Saints, McAdoo, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, McAdoo.

A calling hour will be held Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the church.
