Thomas S. Pupko, 91, of Barnesville, passed away Wednesday at the Schuylkill Center of Pottsville.
Born in Quakake, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Fristick) Pupko.
Thomas was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a member of St. Mary’s B.C. Church, Mahanoy City.
Prior to retiring, he was first employed as a coal miner then later as a Union Mason and proprietor of Thomas Pupko & Son Masonry.
He was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W.
Thomas enjoyed cooking and also caring for his garden. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be sadly missed.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were a son Daniel Pupko and ten brothers and sisters.
Surviving, are his wife of 61 years, Valeria (Petritsch) Pupko; son Stephen Pupko of Barnesville; son Timothy Pupko and wife Cynthia of Sugarloaf; twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
An informal but meaningful memorial will take place Saturday, January 26, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Four Blooms Restaurant, 668 N. Hunter Hwy., Drums. Please RSVP by January 21, to tspupko@gmail.com.
