Steven J. Pollack, 62, of McAdoo, passed away Friday morning at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the Late Andrew and Eileen (Tomlins) Pollack, she was the first war bride from England to come to McAdoo after Andrew’s return from WWII.
Steve was an Army National Guard veteran. He was past commander of the McAdoo American Legion Post 276.
He was of the Roman Catholic faith.
He was last employed by Coal Contractors, Inc. of Stockton as a heavy equipment operator.
Steve was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved spending time outdoors with his children and grandchildren, especially quad riding through the woods. He was gifted at woodworking, drawing and taxidermy.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were infant twin brothers Andrew and John Pollack.
Surviving, are his wife of 39 years Katherine (Wilkinson) Pollack; children, Steven J. Pollack, Jr., Andrea Jadush and husband Jonathan, Tara Dombrosky and husband Edward, and Andrew Pollack and wife Christa, all of McAdoo; Joseph Pollack and wife Jenessa, Beaver Meadows; Jonathan, Tyler and Abigail Pollack, all at home; grandchildren Landen and Paige Jadush, Zack and Jaxon Pollack, Joshua Dombrosky, Logan and Mikey Pollack, and Carson Joseph Pollack.
No public services are scheduled.
