Stephen J. Laylo, 84, of McAdoo, passed away Saturday at Hometown Nursing Center.
Born in McAdoo, he was the son of the late John and Alice (Recklitis) Laylo.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Stephen was a member of Church of All Saints, McAdoo. He was a 1952 graduate of McAdoo High School.
Prior to retiring in 1995, he was employed with PPL Corp.
Stephen had coached for over 40 years with the McAdoo Little League. He was an avid bowler and bowled in several national tournaments over the years. He was a 45-year member of the State Bowling Assoc. and the U.S. Bowling Congress.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his twin brother John F. Laylo (2017).
Surviving, are his sister Bernice Evans, of Boothwyn; brother Robert Laylo and wife Elaine, of McAdoo; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Damiano Funeral Home Inc., Blaine and Cleveland Sts., McAdoo. Rev. Msgr. William Baker will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial in Church of All Saints, McAdoo, at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s R.C. Cemetery, McAdoo.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
