Richard J. Milardi, 78, of West Hazleton, and formerly of McAdoo, passed away suddenly Saturday at his residence.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Angelo and Theresa (Simonelli) Milardi.
Richard was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was of the Roman Catholic faith.
Prior to retiring, he was last employed at DeFrancisco and Intrepid Detective Agencies.
Richard was a former member of Kline Twp. Fire Co. and a former Kline Twp. Fire Police Captain.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, are brothers Angelo, Domenic and Joseph Milardi.
Surviving, are his brother Anthony Milardi, Drums; sister Lucille Janeczek of Hazleton; former wife, Marilyn Boyle, Hazleton; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
His funeral will be held Thursday at the Damiano Funeral Home Inc., Blaine and Cleveland Sts., McAdoo. Rev. Msgr. William Baker will conduct the service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception R.C. Cemetery, McAdoo.
A calling hour will be held Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
